Friends of the Children – Portland is a revolutionary and innovative mentoring program based on the fundamental principle that all children can be successful if given the opportunity to be. The organization proactively identifies our communities’ most vulnerable children and provides them with professionally trained, paid mentors (called Friends) who provide long-term, consistent guidance and support from kindergarten through their high school graduation date, opening doors of opportunity that would otherwise remain closed.
