The “Purple Heart” has three
special meanings for NW&A. The award of the
“Purple Heart” for the producers of NW&A and for
their service teams means they have exceeded
their sales goals of the company in that year by
150%. We honor them with the Purple Heart
placed on their business card because of their
superior performance. The Purple Heart is
then never removed from the honored producer or
service member.
When a past recipient producer
of the Purple Heart contributes more than
$250,000 to the company they receive the Purple
Heart in Hand award and are no longer required
to meet the minimum production of the company
for new business.
Also “Purple Heart Grant” is
given to a new charity each year and is a 10
year grant to support children. The Award
recipient is elected by the Purple Heart
Producers, given out each Christmas and is
exclusively for a children’s charity. The award
is publicly announced and honored at the NW&A
commitment dinner in May of each year. Until May
of 2005 NW&A charities remained anonymous with
our concern that other worthy charity work would
feel left out or that it would appear
presumptuous for us to chose just one each year.
However, we changed our minds when our good work
started to surface, and we wanted to make others
aware of these fine organizations that give so
much more than the money they receive, they save
our innocent and we are proud to serve them with
our grant.
